Kurt and I feel very fortunate to be able to document this special place with our project. The new postcards are now available at the Amargosa Cafe and the Amargosa Hotel. 

The two printed postcards are a start to a Series of cards we plan to publish revolving around life in Death Valley Junction.   

Death Valley Junction is a ghost town of 3 people, just an hour and a half drive from Las Vegas. Although it's located in the middle of the desert, everyday we meet interesting characters and there is never a dull moment.

The Junction has always had a very rich and colorful history starting with the Borax mining all the way to Marta Becket, the dancer from New York who made Death Valley Junction her home and painted stunning murals in the Opera House and the Hotel.

I love the sunrise and sunset, when the light reflects on the bare mountains, there is so much drama especially when it's cloudy. The night sky is clear, dark and filled with stars. It is truly an inspiring place.
